POLYMERIC PLASTICIZER
INTRODUCTION :
PLASTICIZER WP 8 is a non-volatile, low viscosity polymeric film-forming agent that was originally, specifically developed for plasticizing acrylic polymers.
Due to its structure, PLASTICIZER WP 8 combines totally high hydrolysis resistant properties with hydrophobicity.

PROPERTIES :
PLASTICIZER WP 8 is compatible with acrylics, epoxies, alkyds, polyesters, rosin derivatives and phenolics.
PLASTICIZER WP 8 imparts the following properties :
- outstanding elongation and recovery
- increase in flexibility and toughness
- decrease in brittleness
- very low water sensitivity
- improvement in film formation
- resistance to mildew growth.
Unlike many other types of plasticizers, PLASTICIZER WP 8does not adversely affect the adhesion, consistency, pigment binding power or package stability of acrylic latex caulks. Its excellent compatibility with acrylic dispersions allows considerable latitude regarding the amounts that may be used.
According to the type of application, the level of PLASTICIZER WP 8may vary from 1 % to more that 10 % on the end formulation.
