SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS使用范围和限制
This procedure is limited to the operation of the Electro-magnetic dry film tester as supplied by ELEMENT 456 Products.
本程序仅使用于ELEMENT 456型号的电磁性测厚仪操作。

PROCEDURE操作程序
1.Painted surfaces are produced by the specified manner and allowed to dry under the specified conditions of temperature, humidity and time.
各种格式涂层应在相应的温度,湿度,时间下干燥成膜。
2.The painted surface must be sufficiently hard so as not to deform under the pressure of the probe. If the coating is not hard enough, then an approximate measurement may be obtained by interposing a shim of known film thickness between the probe and the paint film. This technique may offer sufficient rigidity between the probe and the film. It is

recommended only as a temporary method until the film is hard enough to withstand the probe.

漆膜应具有足够的硬度以支撑探头的压力而不变形,如果硬度不够,可垫上一片已知厚度的薄片进行测量。这种方法仍需漆膜足够的硬度,仅仅作为在漆膜不够硬的情况下临时性的用法
3.Measurements are only taken on areas which are free of defects such as runs, sags or holidays. Measurements must not be taken within 25mm of any edge of the test piece or other position where the magnetic intensity of the instrument's field will not be uniform.
测量点应选择在漆膜无蔓延,流挂,空洞现象处。离样板边缘至少25mm,及磁性弱的区域。
4.Many paint films contain pigments which due to their chemical and physical nature can be considered as magnetic. This may cause discrepancies in the film thickness measurement. Generally the effect is small but if there is doubt, other methods which are destructive methods of film thickness measurement may have to be employed to check the validity of the magnetic methods.
大多数漆膜都含颜料,其化学,物理形态可能会产生磁性。这样测量时就会引起误差。一般这样的影响不大,但却不确定。其他的测量方法如破坏漆膜法可用来检查电磁性测量的准确性。
5.Care should be taken to ensure that the probe is held normal to the test surface and pressed positively on to the test surface. The probe must be lifted clear of the surface between readings.
应注意确认探头通常的手握方式以直接接触测试漆膜的表面。读数后探头应该简洁地抬起。
7.The probe must be clean, free from grease or other foreign matter. The test area must not be influenced by the presence of other magnetic fields.
Calibration should be carried out before each set of readings and periodically during a number of readings. If used continuously, every 15 minutes is recommended.
探头需保持清洁,不要接触油脂和杂物。测试区域不受其他磁场的影响。每次使用前应先校正,长时间使用,每15分钟应校正一次。
8.The calibration is done using a certified shim of similar thickness to that of the test material thickness. The gauge is corrected to zero on a clean smooth burnished steel plate of at least 1mm thickness. Using the certified shim, adjust the meter to that film thickness ±2% of the stated value. The shims should be clean, smooth and free from imperfections, creases, dents etc. They should also have been certified within a reasonable time of use.
Re-check the zero on clean plate and repeat the calibration routine if necessary.
校正需使用大致相同厚度标准薄片。测量在一块至少1mm的干净的磨光铁片,调整至零,测量薄片在2%的允许误差内,薄片应是干净,光滑,完整,无折痕,边饰。必要时可重复上诉操作。
9.In order to obtain a mean of results the number taken on each test piece should be at least eight for a 100mm x 150mm test piece and twelve on a 300mm x 150mm panel. On larger more complex areas measurements should be taken at frequent intervals and the frequency recorded.
为了取得最真实数据,测量点应为100mm×150mm8个,300mm×150mm12个。更大复杂区域应测量更多的点。
