SVITZER to recruit a paint inspector as owner's representative

SVITZER is a member of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group. SVITZER has 4.000 employees and a fleet of more than 500 vessels, and we provide towage, salvage and related marine services in over 35 countries worldwide. The SVITZER purpose is to provide safety and support at sea. With our fleet renewal and expansion program we have a number of new tugs on order to be built in Qingdao.

We are now looking for a Paint Inspector as owner’s representative based in SVITZER Qingdao Newbuilding Site Office.

The Paint Inspector will report to the Newbuilding Project Manager, and the Inspector’s responsibilities include:

1.To familiarize with Svitzer Newbulding Manual.
2.To familiarize with newbuilding specifications, esp. those for painting.
3.To perform patrolling and scheduled inspections as necessary to ensure quality of painting.
4.To make sure the tugs are tidy and clean before delivery.

And we require qualities as below

1. Must have shipbuilding experience for a foreign owners

2. Must be English speaking

3. Minimum 5 years experience on a similar position

4. Candidates with PSPC or NACE certificate will be preferred.
